Hotlanta Softball Challenge
Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25, 2008)

Rules & Regulations:

In addition, we will be using standard ASA rules with the exception of:

1. HSL Challenge WILL BE allowing 1 courtesy runner per inning (last out).
2. Only certified ASA bats will be allowed. Umpires will be checking all bats before play begins. (NO titanium bats NAGAAA rule)
3. Safety bags / player must use Orange Safety Bag. Umpires discretion to penalty
4. You MUST Slide or Yield to play. (Please be safe and no bulldozing over players) Subject to ejection
5. No jewelry allowed during play
6. 10 min grace period for the 1st games of the day only!
7. Count will start as 1/1 (throughout the tournament)
8. 10 player rule applies (Standard ASA rules)
9. Run Rules (Standard ASA rules)
10. Flip will determine home team / home team is official scorebook (confirmed with Umpire)
11. Tournament & Pool Play will both be 55 mins / game
12. Pool Play may end in a tie / Tournament play will not.
13. Tie Breaker / Tournament ( International Rule applies. previous batter from last inning goes to 2nd base which possibly may not be the last batter out)
14. Championship game ONLY, play will be full 7 innings no time limit (Standard ASA run rule applies)
15. 12 Player Line Up
16. Tournament Play - 55mins
17. Pool Play - Drop Dead (refer back to last full inning)
18. Trophy Games - 55 mins (Standard ASA run rule applies)

Home Runs

• A division - 4 HR (over the fence) progressive
• B division - 2 HR (over the fence) (any HR over the limit stated will result in an out)
• C division - 1 HR (over the fence) (any HR over the limit stated will result in an out)
• D division - 0 HR (over the fence) (any over the fence will result in End-Inning Out)

In case of rain or any unforeseen circumstances, playing rules may be revised so play may be completed.
