A fun evening of campy (and that's with a capital CAMP) drag and studly men - a fundraiser for teams who'll be participating in the 2008 Gay Softball World Series in Seattle, WA.
Admission will be $10 but all the laughs and fun are well worth it! If you haven't seen one of our pageants, you haven't seen it all!
It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that I am sending you this message.
On May 4th, 2008, while playing his second game of the day, Joe Flanagan, a long time member of our league, collapsed in the dugout and went into cardiac arrest.
Unfortunately, he did not survive.
There were several members of HSL who fought to keep him alive until the emergency personnel arrived, but even though their efforts were valiant, it did not keep Joe from passing.
I'm sure many of you knew Joe, or knew of him and knew that his life was softball.
He passed doing the one thing he loved the most.
His team, and our league will be having a memorial for Joe the next time we play and his team (Xtreme) will be setting up a donation fund to the American Heart Association in his name.
