Hotlanta Softball Challenge
Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25, 2008)
PLEASE NOTE: ALL rosters/players will be verified by using the 2007 NAGAAA ratings. Any changes or alterations will be noted and addressed to the coach for evaluation. Challenge director will have a copy of the NAGAAA ratings available if needed.
Protests
- $100 fee is required (1 question/point) Any question/point after that will be an additional $10/per question.
- The protest MUST be filed with the umpire during the game (before end of game)
- (Scorebooks must also be submitted) along with current NAGAAA 2007 ratings and rosters by each team.
IF, a player/team is found to be guilty of ratings/rules violations, the penalties are as follows:
- 1 point given to player/team: Fee returned to protesting team / protested team is assigned a loss & $50 fine. Player/team is still allowed to play if not over the divisional rating limit.
- 2 points given to individual player/team: Fee returned to protesting team / protested team is assigned a loss & fines ($50 per point) Coach and player are ejected, but team is allowed to continue to play if not over the divisional rating limit.
- 3 points or more (total) given to team: Ejection from the tournament.
- If a team goes over divisional rating limit, even by 1 point = team ejection
- If a player goes over the divisional rating limit, even by 1 point = player ejection + fines
All fines MUST be paid before team is allowed to move forward to play next game.
If the protest has not been ruled by the start of the protested teams 2nd game, then the protested team will be allowed to continue to play the next game in Pool Play ONLY!.
If a player is being protested in first game, and plays in 2nd game, that player/team takes a risk of losing that game as well.
NOTE: NO PROTESTS will be allowed in trophy/championship games
